Saturday May 11, this month’s edition of the Market for the Strange provided Salemites with an eclectic mix of handcrafted art.
The event featured booths filled with art ranging from custom wood burning to coffin-shaped cases. The $5 entrance fee gave attendees access to both the market and the live show happening at the same time in the eastern side of Columbia Hall. According to their website, the market was created to make space for the growing alternative art scene around Salem, Oregon.
Market for the Strange hosts monthly events in Salem and the surrounding area. Their next event, Off Your Head, will be held Saturday June 23 at the Salem convention center from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
