On Thursday, June 6, from 3:30-7 p.m., the Visual Communications program will be hosting a student portfolio show.

 that will showcase the many diverse and unique talents of this year’s graduating students. The event will take place in the Student Center and all are welcome to attend the celebration. 

The show will be made up of two events. From 3:30-4:15 p.m. the Multimedia Arts students will be presenting short compilations of their work. The open show will be from 4:15-7:00 p.m. This will allow attendees  to walk around and explore the students’ physical and digital portfolios. 

“It’s always the highlight of the year,” says Peter Hoelter, the program’s chair. “Where all our graduates get to really show off the creative work that they’ve done.”

“The Visual Communications program is a two-year Career Technical Education [CTEC] program within Chemeketa,” says Hoelter, “We offer two degrees: a degree in graphic design and a degree in multimedia arts. We are a limited enrollment program, so students have to apply and be accepted into our program. Usually every year we accept up to 48 students.”
