Jessica Main – Designer

Jessica is the graphic designer for Tempest. Jessica is currently working on studying graphic design at Chemeketa. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with friends and doing photography. She also loves listening to music and her favorite band is Twenty-One Pilots. On top of that, she likes rebels from Dutch Bros and playing basketball. 

Kaitlyn Wimmer – Advising editor

Kaitlyn is a non-traditional student who has returned to Chemeketa to complete her associate degree, and is due to graduate in June! Kaitlyn first attended Chemeketa in the fall of 2015. She competed with Chemeketa’s competition winning Mock Trial team for 4 academic terms, winning an individual award in 2017 at the U of O annual mock trial competition; the team placed first at this competition as well! Kaitlyn then became a reporter with The Courier, the previous student newspaper, before taking over as News Editor in her first term. She was then co Editor-in-Chief of The Courier for 6 academic terms. In The Courier’s final term, The Courier brought home 6 awards from the Oregon Newspaper Association’s annual collegiate competition. This included an award Kaitlyn won for second place in the Editorial category, and first place for Best Series, which the aforementioned editorial was included in. Kaitlyn has begun building a career in Human Resources, and intends to pursue a SHRM-CP certification following the completion of her degree at Chemeketa. Kaitlyn’s other passion is Rugby! She currently plays for the Betterside Women’s Rugby Club in Missoula, MT, one of the longest running women’s rugby clubs in the country.
